Billy Goat Bluff Track is one of Victoria’s most iconic 4WD routes, hitting a 27% gradient and rising 1200m over just 7 kilometres.
The track is also a crucial asset for our crews in fire response over the bushfire season.

For this reason, we are on site repairing degraded sections of the track which pose safety risks to our firefighters and four wheel drivers alike.

While we complete essential roadworks at Billy Goats Bluff Track, the route will remain open, with possible lengthy delays.

If you are planning a trip to Billy Goat Bluff Track, please remember:

🚧 Traffic management is in place between Moroka Road and Wonnangatta Road
⏱️ Delays of up to half an hour should be expected
📶 Always plan ahead and visit https://www.ffm.vic.gov.au/permits-and-regulations/closures-of-parks-and-forests before leaving home
📻 Radio communication only in some areas
🚫 Exercise extra caution on this track during roadworks

Access to certain areas is important.
Knowing where to access and when is something we aim to capture and include in our maps.
These signs 500m apart are important even though it gives you access to the same beach, pedestrian levels are higher at the no access sign
