Another reason for actual Cash being preferred: the banks and the card companies obviously have the control over whatever fee and surcharges they charge.
Another slice of our freedom being hacked away.
Just received and email from Tyro saying they're "reviewing and updating" my pricing structure for "my benefit". Huh...!
Commonly understood as they are charging (extorting) more.
Eftpos is jumping up from 0.4% to 1.2% that is a 3 folds increase !!!
Screen shot with highlighted colours helps you to see what exactly what is going on. The thing is, I have an automatic surcharge enabled on my eftpos, however only charging the actual percentages stated, I'm still out of pocket by a fair bit. Go figure?
Now, there is a new added category of surcharges they've also introduced which wasn't there previously. (highlighted in red)

I'm sure that the big guys, large corporations aren't charged as exuberantly. Yeah, let's screw the little guys, small businesses, sole traders...
With the cost of doing business and cost of living is constantly on the rise, profit margins (for small businesses) are narrowing, where are we all heading? It is very obvious that small business and the average person is targeted to make it more and more challenging and difficult for us to operate and enjoy whatever freedom we still have.

If anyone thinks cashless society is a good thing... you're dreaming. A digitally dominated world is a prison for humanity.

I Flew as a Swan by Joanna Ryan-Purcell, an absolutely moving brilliant performance.
Shot on Eastman Double-X cine film at 1600ISO with Nikon F4
Chosen to push the limits of this film to the max to convey the moving emotions and the textured mood of this amazing poetic performance. I call it a success all around
