This VK 05 Banger Tribute is back off to Wagga NSW to be finished / Engine / interior / Etc....Future road car cruiser.
Brush lettering as per original VK 05 by KSG...
Nice home build by Damo & family...l will post pics when it's finished.

40 years since l Brush lettered the Original PB/LP HDT 83 VH 05
l've just completed the Signwritting on #2 83 VH 05 Bathurst Replica based in Melbourne..... Original Car was driven thru it's HDT racing life by PB / LP / & John Harvey & David Parsons ( removed & repainted various driver name changes ) when Peter & Larry were doing lemans in 84 etc. ...
Sadly it failed in the Grand Final @ Bathurst 83 & History shows VH 25 went on to win...
This Nice VH Replica by Chris Young has been on going & is yet to be finished mechanically etc...
A Real Credit to Chris that he has completed a lot of the work himself with help from his mates etc.
It will be @ Phillip island on display @ The Hictorics in march...
Pretty special reboot & HDT race shop flashback for me 40 years on ...
& thanks to Chris for giving me the opportunity to do the Brush Lettering as per the original on his project & dream...

Just got a reminder on my feed regarding this VC recently ...l did the Brush painted lettering on this original promo HDT 05 in Adelaide back in 2016...First one of a few now l've done since l originally did signwritting on racecars @ HDT back in the 80s....Very nice Resto on this vc.

Very nice tribute & a credit to owner & builders involved...lts been Built to drive & enjoy...

Bathurst weekend / 1983 flashback...
Greens Tuf / Dick Johnson Car/ Big Sat. shootout crash which resulted in a massive overnight team & Tafe car rebuild...These are my brush painted tribute doors signed by
Dick Johnson & John Bowe + Collage story board...
Being involved that night & now looking back at the involvement with the HDT team & Helpiing out with the signwriting on this Cars overnight rebuild at the time was a Great memory & part of King Signs KSG 40 + years history.

Just finished brush painting the lettering on this very nice 79 HDT Torana -Brock Richards Bathurst Winner Tribute from Mudgee NSW.
Real credit to the owner & everyone involved , still needs to finish the cars interior , cage , dash etc.
Real time machine job for me...l did my job interview with Peter Brock & John Harvey in front of this original torana @ HDT special vehicles showroom north melb....just after l finished signwriting the building. I was asked how would l go doing the racecar signs ?...
the rest is history.

Brock / Perkins car...now in the bathurst motor racing musuem, l was given the opportunity to signwrite this very nice tribute...VK 05 #2 in Qld. that was brush lettered close as possible, as per original from tracing l have taken off the original musuem car....
