We recently had the privilege of working on and attending the annual summit of one of our long-standing clients, Women in Mining and Resources WA (WIMWA). Once again the summit left us feeling inspired by the industry's growing commitment to diversity. From a designers perspective, this made me reflect on what companies dedicated to diversity should prioritise to achieve the appropriate perception.

Here are proposed steps to exude diversity through design:
1. Diverse Representation: Stating the obvious here… but you need to ensure that your marketing collateral features a diverse range of individuals.

2. Storytelling: Highlight diverse experiences within your organisation. Storytelling humanises your brand and makes it more relatable.

3. Inclusive Language: Pay attention to the language used in your marketing materials. Use inclusive language that respects and affirms the identities and experiences of all individuals.

4. Cultural Sensitivity: Be mindful of cultural sensitivities and nuances in your design choices.
