Introducing Silver Onyx a striking grey 5 year old OTT Thoroughbred who has just begun his career in the show ring. Onyx has been lightly shown at your agricultural shows, winning reserve champion hack at his first event.

He has a sweet nature and has exceptional ground manners he is easy to shoe, float, wash, and handle, a true gentleman on the ground. No nasty behaviour.

Onyx has established 3 even paces, has a soft snaffle mouth, and listens to his vices. He’s been ridden by multiple riders and his work never changes, including carrying a capable 14-year-old.

While he is a comfortable and sweet ride, Onyx is best suited to a confident and capable rider, as he is forward-moving and still green in some areas. Still needs further education.

Not for sale through any fault of his own his owner has purchased a more educated horse, and unfortunately, I do not have the time to continue his education in a competitive environment.

Onyx is fuss-free, honest, and has the temperament to become a brilliant child’s mount in the right hands.

Smokey 💫

Smokey has been a valued member of the Shantaylah Lodge Riding Centre for the past two years, working as a reliable and much-loved school horse. During his time with us, he has helped confident young riders progress through walk, trot, and canter. He has also taken part in day stays and clinics that include barrel racing and trotting poles.
Smokey is a kind and gentle soul, both under saddle and on the ground. He’s easy to catch, wash, and shoe, making him a pleasure to handle.
He would suit a confident beginner or a beginner on the lunge. Please note, Smokey has not left the property during our ownership. He is only being offered for sale due to a reduction in riding school lessons—this is no fault of his own.
Smokey is not being advertised as a jumper. Serious enquiries only, please.
