Lake Mac City Council invites you to have your say at the Local Music Industry Forum, on
Monday 14 October 2024
6pm – 9pm
Warners Bay Theatre, Baramayiba.

Whether you’re a musician, business or venue owner, event manager or all-round live music enthusiast, this forum is a valuable opportunity to network with council and community and discuss what a thriving live music scene looks like for Lake Macquarie. The outcomes of this forum will assist Council to further develop opportunities for live music – both for performers and venues within the LGA.

Today I voted YES, in the referendum.
I’ll be out of town on referendum day.
I voted yes because I believe it is the right thing to do.
I voted yes because our First Nations people should have always been recognised in the constitution.
I voted yes, because the voice to parliament has already existed any many forms, created by both Labour and Liberal governments, all this does is mean that successive governments can’t dissolve one body and create a new one (simple continuity).
I voted yes because we need to be listening to people tell us what they need an enact change rather than simply dictate.
Don’t vote no because you don’t know.
Don’t be stupid or lazy.

It’s all about perspective.
It struck me this morning as I watched Arthur climb the stairs, how there are things that look huge while you are conquering them, but then as you grow they become such small steps along the way.
