Passion & Purpose- 15 hours, countless conversations, and one full heart.
You know it’s been a successful day of collaborating when you head out at 6:00 AM for your first meeting and don’t pull back into the driveway until 9:30 PM.
People often ask what keeps the momentum going on days that long. For me, the answer is simple: connection. There is nothing quite like the energy of sitting down with local businesses and the people behind them. Whether it’s a strategic deep dive or a casual coffee, I always walk away having learned something new. More importantly, I’m constantly reminded of how many genuine, hard-working people we have in our community.
Networking isn't just about exchanging cards; it's about the spark that happens when two people decide to build something better together.
Back at it again tomorrow! ☕️🚀

This morning, I had the opportunity to hear firsthand about the incredible work being done by the team at Capable Spaces
It’s one thing to offer a service, but it’s another entirely to lead with the level of passion and deep industry knowledge that Karen and her team demonstrate.

Hearing the success stories and the tangible impact they make on their clients’ lives is truly inspiring. In a space where expertise matters, it is refreshing to see a team that is so genuinely driven by achieving the best possible outcomes for those they support.

We couldn’t have asked for a better start to the year for the Newcastle Business Club. Our first Business Lunch of 2026 was a true "meeting of the minds," featuring an incredible panel of regional leaders.

A huge thank you to Dr Ross Kerridge - Lord Mayor of Newcastle, Adam Shultz - Mayor of Lake Macquarie Anderson Port Stephens, and Mayor Philip Penfold Maitland for sharing their visions for our growing region.

From the international expansion of Newcastle Airport to Maitland hitting the 100,000-resident milestone and Lake Mac’s innovative housing strategies, one thing is clear: collaboration is our greatest strength. When our LGAs work together, the entire Hunter thrives.
