Today is our last day in our office at 5 Rutland Street, Newtown. It’s been an amazing space to work, connect with the vibrant creative community in the area and stay adequately caffeinated at ☕️ We are so grateful for Ren and Kate from for having us here over the last year and providing cost effective spaces for creative businesses 👏🏻

Happy news, we are moving across the road to 14 Rutland where is creating an amazing space for creative professionals. After our current building was sold with an uncertain future for our space, we are thrilled to move so close with a secure lease so we can be here for the long run! 👏🏻

It’s DonateLife week! To help spread the word about the importance of registering as organ and tissue donors, we are re-running our successful in-game advertising campaign.

The ads encourage players across Australia to pause for one minute to register, with the reward of more lives in their game.

Are you registered? It takes one minute on Donatelife.gov.au (link in bio) all you need is your medicare card. You could one day save many lives.

To have a tasting at Lethbridge, one of Australia’s best wineries. Or to visit the Archibald Prize, featuring Australia’s best portrait paintings.

It’s also the best time to have a quiet moment fishing with your kid off the St Leonards pier, grab a bite to eat with friends on Little Malop St, catch a world-class show at the Arts Centre, visit The Bellarine via the Queenscliff ferry and everything else in-between.

To differentiate Bradey Architects, we wanted to move away from simply showing past projects in their collateral. Instead, we set out to capture the stunning essence of Geelong, Surf Coast, and surrounding regions – areas that Bradey Architects specialises in. This presented a blank canvas for potential clients to envision their new home seamlessly integrated into these breathtaking landscapes. We aimed to capture the raw beauty, materials, and textures of these locations.

The branding reflects Michael Bradley’s approach to his homes: striking yet considered, and deeply integrated within the Australian landscape. We embraced a palette of greens, meticulously refined to capture authentic native Australian tones. The signage itself is intentionally distinctive, yet seamlessly blends into the surrounding environment.

The end result is a brand that feels considered, approachable, and a little special – a true reflection of the work produced by Bradey Architects.

That’s a wrap! It’s been an exciting 2024 for Make Mate and we packed some massive live events in this year as well.

Wishing all our lovely clients a wonderful xmas and well deserved break. We have loved working with you all.

We have some really exciting things on the horizon for next year that we cant wait to get stuck into, but for now, we reflect on the year it was and relax. ☀️

Next Thursday the 12th of December our little community that surrounds us at 5 Rutland Street is open for a Thursday Night Christmas Market.

Full of hand-crafted goodness and stunning shops, there are heaps of things happening on the street too, including gift wrapping, live carols and heaps of shops open. Grab a bite to eat at and make the night of it.

I can say without any doubt, working in an uplifting, creative space 100% makes you more creative.

Surrounded by some of our favourite things from local artists furniture, art, , Takeawai ceramics paintings, books everywhere, golden vintage finds, the odd bottle of gin and SO MANY PLANTS that are overjoyed in the natural warehouse light. Maybe we should all aim to work in places that our plants thrive in? 🌿
