Something that's been on my heart for a while now and I'll be honest with you that I am guilty of it too. Letting AI take little parts of my business to make things "easier" but I have been reflecting on it for some time now and am realising that this is a quick fix and is actually hurting our creative industry.

The long term repercussions of doing this over and over will slowly lose our creative jobs completely. Graphic Designers, Artists, Photographers, Copy Writers, Videographers, Social Media Managers and so many more important roles are at risk of being lost to AI. Even AI music is now appearing on platforms like Spotify.

If there's one thing you take from this post is that creative jobs are worth the investment in your business 🤍

Working from home and for myself has made me so intentional about how I begin — nourishing myself, time-blocking my day, planning ahead, creating space for content, and getting dressed in something comfortable that feels good. This is of course after the chaos of my pre-morning routine, which includes lunchboxes, school and kindy drop offs and everything in between motherhood.

What’s one thing you cannot live without in your morning routine?

A few weeks ago I was standing on the summit of Mt Kosciuszko — the highest point on mainland Australia and I had this very clear thought:
This is why I need to do slow things.

Life is full. Business is full. Motherhood is full.
And if I’m not careful, my mind becomes full too. Full of noise, ideas, notifications, other people’s opinions, algorithms, timelines.

But out there, walking for hours, sleeping in a tent, eating lunch on the side of a mountain, something changes.

The noise quietens.
And when the noise quietens, creativity comes back.
Not forced. Not strategic. Not rushed.
Just clear, calm ideas that feel like they actually mean something.

I don’t just do this for my wellbeing. I do this because it makes me better at my work. Better at listening. Better at creating. Better at helping other people bring their vision to life. Slowing down isn’t falling behind. For me, it’s where the good ideas live.
