The dust has settled on the whirlwind that was the first-ever SA Giving Week.

We’re thrilled to have been the initiative’s inaugural media and marketing partner and help grow a stronger culture of giving across South Australia.

Combining publicity, social media, Meta ads and out-of-home advertising to maximise the week’s reach, credibility and engagement, the campaign was a resounding success, with 54 media mentions, $80K+ in donated outdoor advertising, more than 300,000 people reached across Facebook and Instagram and 4,175 website visits.

This June, Kate is stepping outside her comfort zone for something that really matters.

Taking part in Vinnies CEO Sleepout, Kate will spend a night sleeping rough to help raise awareness and funds for people experiencing homelessness.

A moment worth celebrating ✨

Last week, the communikate team had the privilege of attending the Firefly Children's Foundation launch event, and seeing the final result of a project that’s been more than a year in the making.

From early conversations and creative exploration through to refinement and delivery, this project represents countless hours of collaboration, problem-solving and genuine passion from everyone involved. To stand in the space and experience the finished outcome together was incredibly rewarding.

Australia is on the cusp of a $5.4 trillion wealth transfer and it’s set to reshape the future of giving.

We’re proud to have partnered with SA Philanthropy Network to launch Bridging Generations: Wealth, Communication and the Future of Giving during the first-ever SA Giving Week, a first-of-its-kind report exploring how different generations connect with causes, and what this means for not-for-profits.

What we found is both a challenge and an opportunity:
- Just 6.5% of wills include a charitable gift
- Only 1% of inherited wealth goes to charity
- Giving is shaped early - it’s modelled, not assumed
- Younger generations are influencing how families think about the legacy they leave
- Storytelling backed by real impact is critical to engaging donors

Today we’re proud to officially launch Firefly Children's Foundation - formerly the Channel 7 Children’s Research Foundation - and celebrate a brand built to honour 50 years of impact while boldly stepping into the future.

Inspired by the quiet power of the firefly, this new identity represents the belief that small sparks of curiosity, backed early, can come together to create life‑changing outcomes for children.

From strategy to storytelling, visual identity to launch, this project was about balancing science with wonder, credibility with warmth, and creating a brand that doesn’t just look beautiful, but means something.

Huge gratitude to the incredible team at Firefly for trusting us with such an important chapter. We couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve created together.
