Driving home tonight and the sky was doing that thing again.

The kind of sunset that makes you slow down for a moment.

For me, sunsets aren’t about the day ending.

I started dreaming about surfing one of the world’s most perfect waves when I was about 25.�It took me until 45 to get there.

Twenty years is a long time for a dream to manifest.

I got distracted.�My habits weren’t always right.�My focus drifted to other things; some good, some bad.�Life moved. I moved with it.

My body would’ve appreciated doing it earlier.�No doubt about that.

But the many, many hours I’ve spent surfing those waves now… they were worth the wait.

I don’t carry regret.�I carry lessons.

What I’ve learned is simple and hard at the same time: bring your goals into sharp focus.�Trust yourself.�Make decisions faster.

Since doing that, something’s changed.�My dreams are coming to me quicker now.�And when they arrive, they feel deeper. More powerful. More earned.

That’s growth.�That’s patience.�That’s belief paying interest.
