This morning I had the privilege of speaking at The Dreaming Collective’s National Reconciliation Week Breakfast.

The 2026 theme, All In, feels important.

Because reconciliation is not something we can sit on the sidelines of. It asks all of us to show up honestly, listen properly, reflect on where we’ve come from and think seriously about where we’re going together.

Today I spoke about resilience, identity, culture, storytelling and refusing to stay small. I spoke about growing up carrying both strength and responsibility, and what it means to walk into spaces while still staying connected to who you are and where you come from.

There were some really emotional moments in the room this morning. A few tears, a lot of reflection and some beautiful conversations afterwards that I will carry with me for a long time.

Those moments remind me that reconciliation is not just policy or public statements. It is people. It is relationships. It is truth telling, listening and creating space for each other with genuine care.

A huge thank you to Carly and The Dreaming Collective for inviting me to speak and for creating such a thoughtful and welcoming morning.

And thank you to everyone who attended, listened and shared the space.

This was my table the other day.

Books I’ve written.
Flyers for the gym.
And a photo of my grandparents that I always keep close.

It probably looks a bit all over the place to anyone else, but to me it makes sense.

I move between a few different things day to day. Writing, running a gym, training, family. None of it is separate, it just fits around each other.

Some days it’s busy. Some days it’s a lot.
But it’s mine, and I’m committed to it.

That’s enough for me.

If you’re building something of your own and trying to make it all fit, you’ll understand.

And if your brand or website needs to catch up with the level of work you’re doing, you can take a look at what I’m building at Stori.Rise.

Most conversations about the digital divide miss the point.

Access doesn’t equal opportunity.

I’ve just had an article published with The Advocate exploring how Land on Heart Foundation is doing this differently — building real capability, confidence and long-term outcomes.

If you work in this space, this is worth the read.

A really lovely afternoon celebrating and her new book The Paradise Pact.

I took my daughter along with me, which made it even more special ☺️ sitting together, listening, and being present.

It’s always good to be around people doing what they do well and learning.

Anita for me is a role model who inspires me to push for more.

Grateful to have been there and to share it with my girl

Some partnerships aren’t new, they’ve just been built quietly over time.

Over the past year, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside Ozie Pipe 403 and the deadly brand he has built.

What started as conversations has grown into something grounded in trust, shared values, and a clear vision for what’s ahead.

I’m proud to formally share this partnership through Stori.Rise Impact, the social enterprise arm of Stori.Rise.

Together, we’re developing a digital platform that reflects the story of Ozie Pipe 403. The important work, the brand, and the future being built.

We work quietly.
Work backed by relationships, not recognition.
Work that matters.

And it’s exactly why Stori.Rise Impact exists, to reinvest in community-led organisations and support the infrastructure behind growth.

Grateful to be walking alongside Leon Brown.

Today I had the privilege of joining Karen Dorante on Let’s Talk at Triple A.

We had such a great yarn about my book, the work I’m doing through my businesses, and even a bit about bodybuilding and the journey behind it all. It was such a genuine and enjoyable conversation and I feel really lucky to have had the opportunity to share my story.

Huge thanks to Karen and the team at Triple A for the warm welcome and for creating space for these conversations.

Keep an eye out, I’ll share the link to the podcast once it’s released.

Congratulations Allanah on the launch of Forever & Ever. It was such a beautiful night and I feel really grateful to have been there celebrating with you.

Having you as my lecturer last year meant so much to me. Your thinking, your storytelling and the way you hold space for truth in your work has genuinely shaped the direction of my own path. You’ve had a real impact on how I see story, writing and the responsibility that comes with it.

Seeing your debut novel out in the world now feels really special. I’m wishing you so much success with Forever & Ever. It deserves to travel far and find many, many readers

Such a lovely morning meeting Debbie from Riley Callie Resources and dropping off copies of The Little Dream That Wouldn’t Give Up for her store.

Debbie has created something really thoughtful with Riley Callie Resources. Her shelves are filled with authentic Indigenous resources that help educators feel confident bringing culture into their teaching.

Seeing my little book sitting there alongside those resources feels pretty special.

Thank you Debbie for the warm welcome and for the work you’re doing supporting educators and young people.

First week back at UQ for 2026, and I’m still carrying the feeling of it.

There’s something special about walking back onto campus at the beginning of a year. The energy is different.

Sharing my book with felt surreal in the most grounding way. To place something I created — something that began as a quiet idea — into the hands of people I respect and admire is not something I take lightly. I felt proud. I felt nervous. I felt deeply grateful.

I met so many new people. Conversations that started with curiosity and turned into connection. The kind of day that leaves you tired in your body but wide awake in your spirit.

I’m overwhelmed — but in the best possible way.

Not because everything is clear.
Not because I know exactly where this is going.
But because it feels aligned.

If this book finds its way into the hands of just one little fella who starts to believe in their dreams a little more fiercely — who decides not to give up when things feel hard — then that’s it for me.

That’s the big time.

Everything else is just a bonus.

I’m excited. I’m grateful. And I’m quietly ready to see what unfolds next.

This moment will stay with me for a long time.

Last night was my first market — at the Burb Markets, Return of the Blak — and I’m still sitting with the feeling of it all.

I sold 11 books, but what stayed with me even more than that were the yarns.
The conversations.
The encouragement.
The quiet pride.
The people who stopped, listened, shared their own stories, and held this one with so much care.

So many of you took the time to tell me why this story mattered to you.
Why it reminded you of someone.
Why it felt important to put it into a child’s hands.

That kind of support is beyond heart-warming — it’s grounding.

This book was written with love, memory, and intention.
To see it received in community, surrounded by culture, creativity, and connection, felt deeply right.

Thank you to everyone who came by, who shared space, who bought a book, who had a yarn, who offered encouragement, or simply smiled and wished me well.

I left tired, grateful, and full — in the best possible way.

This is just the beginning, and I’m so thankful to be walking it alongside community.
