🎈So, 2025 is my twentieth year in business. Surprisingly, it’s been the hardest one yet! Or has it? We forget, don’t we. When I started, I had a six-month-old.👶 I had a second child at the two-year mark, went through separation at the 12-year mark and fell off a revenue cliff at 15 years when Covid hit.😷

This year I’ve done quite a lot of questioning: about why I am in business, about whether I should stay in business, about what is important to me. The same answer has kept coming back, which is that the personal and positive equity I have amassed over two decades in business still wins out.

The scales have kept tipping in one direction: love.❤️Not to use the L word lightly, but I have had an epiphany: I love this business. I love my colleagues. I love our clients and I love the work we do. I love my work more than I hate it. Much more! Alleluia!

And I have decided I should be sharing about it more often.📣 So expect to hear from me more. And expect to see me continuing this work that I love.

If you grew up in the ocean in Australia, no doubt you've tried bodysurfing. But who knew it was an internationally competitive sport? AND who would have thunk that the Sunshine Coast is hosting the INTERNATIONAL bodysurfing titles from this weekend?

It all starts tomorrow with the Wedge bodysurfing festival kicking off in front of the Coolum Surf Club.

Then on Monday the Bodysurfing World Titles start!

Ninety competitors from around the world have come to the Sunny Coast to compete! Head to on Instagram for updates.

🌟 Triple winner chicken dinner! Another campaign produced by Macneil & Co. marketing, design, digital for Sunshine Coast Council has snagged international Gold awards! The successes achieved by the ‘Testing Tech in Paradise’ campaign point to the strength of our collaboration with the team at Council's Invest Sunshine Coast. Once again, we’re stoked to showcase the award-winning marketing work we get to produce on the Sunshine Coast. 🏆✨

Two Gold awards were won: 1) Multimedia Promotion and 2) Paid Advertising Campaign for ‘Testing Tech in Paradise’, a video-led campaign showcasing the Sunshine Coast’s high-tech capabilities. The campaign generated 312 new investment leads over three months and more than 890,000 video views.

It was a multi-faceted, multi-channel campaign, including of a video ‘The Connected Worker’ taking viewers behind the scenes during a technology trial of augmented reality headsets in the Maroochydore City Centre.

A second video positioned the Sunshine Coast as an ideal test site for sports tech in the lead up to the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

A third Gold IEDC award was won in the Recovery, Resilience and Mitigation category for the Sunshine Coast Incentive Assistance Program (SCIAP).

🏎 Start your engines! 🏎 The Macneil & Co. Racing team is burning rubber tonight at the 2024 Chamber Drive Night! Our crew of adrenaline junkies is ready to leave the competition in the dust at the Big Kart Track, piloting 270cc speed demons, capable of a blistering 70 km/h!

We’re fired up and ready to fly, with the need for speed at an all-time high. Keep your eyes peeled, or you might just miss us lapping the competition! 🏎💨

Which Australian CBD has Wi-Fi 6 ⚡ powered by its own undersea broadband cable? Sunshine Coast does! On behalf of Invest Sunshine Coast., Macneil & Co. has been helping tell the Sunshine Coast business story with its production of Season 3 of the Vitamin SC (Sunshine Coast) video series.

Our team shot 🎬 Season 3 in April this year with the help of Tide Productions, Lauren Panrucker and Carolyn Goatley. For Episode 1, we were on location in the Maroochydore City Centre, inside the incredible new Sunshine Coast Council City Hall and at NEXTDC.

Each year we try to come up with a new creative approach to client and partner Christmas pressies. This year we had a cracker of an idea so it was super fun to wrap them all and post them off today, complete with handwritten cards. (We will share a pic of the gifts after Christmas, so I don't spoil the surprise for recipients.)

Macneil & Co. has been engaged by Queensland Small Business Commissioner's office to produce a photo series that showcases small business in action. These won’t be glossy, high-touch images – we’re seeking realistic photos of real people in their real business environment.
