When choosing your industry most entrepreneurs do it the wrong way.
They choose what they like doing and just run with it. But what they don't do which is super important is do crucial research on that industry and see if there are unmet needs with an insatiable appetite for what you have to offer.
Once you have found this unmet need in your industry you need to make sure that your product or service compliments and feeds the unmet needs so you know people will pull out their credit cards and buy.
You have also got to identify where the money is going to be, for example if you're selling to sales people, what sales people make a lot of money for what they do with high profit margins. As you want your customers to afford your products or services and pay you a high amount for it.
You don't want to position yourself in a poor industry with no money. So before you start your business make sure you have the right shoes on before you start running.
