What happens to content as AI gets better and better?

The easier content is to produce, the less impressive content production becomes.

Because anyone can generate a polished post, image, script, and even a realistic video.

But when content becomes abundant, trust and human connection become scarce.

When your competitors can access the same tools, your advantage becomes the things they can’t create:

👉 Your personality
👉 Reputation
👉 Lived experience
👉 Judgement
👉 Relationships
👉 Critical thinking skills

Which makes me think human connection and trust will become valuable.

The businesses that use AI to replace their thinking and humanness will become easier to replicate.

But the ones that use it to amplify what makes them different will have the advantage.

When I was in primary school, my dad used to tell me my strength was that I had good people skills and could make friends with anyone.

I’d just nod. But I hated hearing it.

To me, that felt like such a “useless” strength.

Real strengths to me were having good grades, good at sport, quick thinker and a confident speaker.

And I had none of that.

It’s only recently I’ve realised how underrated interpersonal skills actually are.

Sounds a bit fluffy, but how well you treat people follows you.

The referrals you didn’t ask for.

The opportunities you get.

The client who stays with you for 8 years instead of two months.

Yet so many businesses become so focused on growth, sales, and getting what they want that they forget the people sitting on the other side of the conversation.

Empathy becomes an inconvenience.
Relationships become transactions.

And over time, people feel it.

Your brand isn’t just built by your marketing.

It’s built through thousands of small interactions
that nobody else sees from the ‘outside’.

We spend so much time trying to become more competent that we forget competence alone rarely creates loyalty.

Turns out, people skills weren’t the
“useless strengths” I thought they were.
