"If you got a problem - Yo let's solve it".
I am a big believer that from obstacles come opportunity. I consider challenges as imperative design that encourage human potential, mind, body, spirit and teamwork.
No surprise, I have been helping my clients, friends and family deal with the loss of work. Tough times. Maybe just the start. I am asked, "what can I do? - I cannot do My Work from home". Sound familiar? Read on.
Fear not - because you are limited only by your imagination, which is thankfully the most powerful and fantastic resource ever to exist!
Think about everything you see started as a thought, as something that wasn't real and now is. A comedian said, "put me on an island for 2000 years, and I still won't be able to invent an iPhone".
Someone did, and you can use your imagination to keep your business alive. Here is the formula:
Your current product or service + (The Whole Corona Thing) + imagination + digital expertise = ???
Equals = Amazing Creations, New Businesses, New Products & Profits in a 'dead market'.
It is happening right now in Perth. We are digitising business services and processes that will become best practice and at least additional revenue streams long after we go 'back to normal'.
Here are some of the best examples:
Bricklayer - creating video tutorials on how to build, BBQ's, letterboxes, garden beds, kennels, fix holes etc. Excellent brand awareness and the potential for advertising revenue.
Plumber - Video diagnosis of plumbing problems, walking customer through the fix or initial action. Customer pays for 'Virtual Call Out Fee" via PayPal. Reduces property damage and increases solution accuracy. Plus customer profiles for a loyalty program. *This one has such broad application, really excited for this.
Dog Trainer - Video Call in with the existing group for training activities. Record and monetise each episode—building community through tough times.
Risk & Compliance - Fully digital meetings delivered "Home-to-Home" without compromising 'executive experience'. This one is exciting because of the short time-frame, June 30 deadline for Australian Companies to comply with Modern Slavery Act (2018). Again, the application for consulting and service-based meetings is enormous.
Being able to replicate 'live' interaction without the risks is simple with the technology we have now.
There are so many digital tools and experts out there that can help 'digitise your product/service offering. Just reach out and ask.
Here is what I recommend you - follow these steps:
1. Map Out the delivery of your product/service.
2. Replace the channels that have been affected (all things Corvid-19) using digital/online tools (Focus on the experience).
3. Make it easy for people to pay you using digital/online tools.
Get stuck at any point, seek advice.
The fact is that if you've got a great product or service, people want it, need it and ought to have access to it.
Now is time to figure out how you can get it to them. You could very well find that in overcoming the obstacles in front of you today, using technology, you uncover an extremely profitable and sustainable way of doing business.
Remember - we are either creating or disintegrating. That is a law of nature, which one will you choose.
Like and Share for team Create - Move along for team Disintegrate.
May you feel safe, healthy and loved over the coming months.
