It's a well known and much-loved WA tourism spot, but ongoing uncertainty around Penguin Island's discovery centre is having an impact on an award-winning tourism business.

Perth Wildlife Encounters spoke with 9 News Perth, with CEO Chad warning that three years on from the closure of the island's discovery centre the future of the business looks grim. He says declining visitor numbers, issues with sand movement preventing island access, and a lack of firm commitment about a replacement facility are all having an impact.
