My next podcast 42: Life, The Universe and Everything is with the engaging Adrian d'Hage about his new book The Russian Affair. Here is a novel, whose story couldn't be more timely.

The Russian Affair tells the story of CIA agent Curtis O’Connor, who is determined to stop a corrupt Russian dictator from developing deadlier nuclear weapons to restore his country’s dominance on the world stage. Thrown into the mix is a femme fatale nuclear scientist, as well as an unpredictable US president who may just send the world to war – all in all a thrilling-page turner for those cold days spent indoors.

If that's not enough, I'll be talking to Adrian about his fascinating personal background that includes serving as a Platoon Commander in Vietnam and later headed up defence planning for the counter-terrorism security of the Sydney Olympics.

He was awarded the Military Cross and in 1993 was made a Member of the Order of Australia. He should be fascinating.
