9 years in social media management, and here's 3 things I advise small business owners who are feeling overwhelmed when it comes to their social media...

1... Post something imperfect, not nothing. A slightly rough but consistent post beats a polished one that never happens.

2... Your captions don't need to be clever - they need to be clear. Write as if you are talking to your ideal client. Say what you do, what problem you solve and what they need to do next.

3... Stop checking it 10 times a day. The refresh-and-check habit burns more energy than the posting does. Engage with comments, sure — just don't let it consume your headspace.

Did you know you can now reorder your Instagram grid?

Instagram recently dropped one of its most requested features ever - and if you haven't tried it yet, you need to.

You can now drag and rearrange your posts into any order you like. Yes, even posts from years ago.

Here's how to do it:
- Go to your profile
- Long press any post
- Tap "Reorder grid"
- Drag your posts wherever you want them

Instagram says it's perfect for "highlighting a new era, resurfacing older content, refreshing your aesthetic, or showcasing key projects and work."

For small business owners, this is huge. First impressions on your profile actually matter - and now you can put your best content front and centre for every new visitor.

Think about the last time someone recommended a business to you.
What did you do? You looked them up.

And in about 8 seconds you decided whether they looked legit or not.

That's exactly what your potential clients are doing to you right now.

Your page or Instagram profile is working for you or against you - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, whether you're posting or not.

The question is: what impression is it making?

If the answer is "I'm not sure" or "probably not a great one" - that's okay. It's fixable. And it doesn't have to take hours.
