With currently 2 conflicting Engineering Reports organised by Transport for NSW, we are raising $8000 to have an independent Engineer, Angus Gordon (with over 50 years experience in Coastal Management) come and provide an independent onsite assessment for our community.

With the tradition method of Breakwall Maintenance not being considered for this project, your donation will contribute to the fee to pay for this assessment and recommendation for maintenance of our iconic Breakwall.

This proposed destruction has the support of our local MP Leslie Williams and is a project of Transport for NSW. This decision was made in November 2020, before any engineers had even surveyed the Breakwall for a reconstruction, and all the rock for this project where purchased before the proposed works where even made public to the community.

With so much to lose your donation will ensure all options have been exhausted before the proposed destruction is commenced.

Thankyou for your donation 😊

Important interview

08/12/2022

Good for tourism? What by taking away what tourist come to see ? Good for business ? When the CBD will have b-double trucks steaming through Port Macquarie CBD for best part of a year and construction still in process over Christmas? Safer for the bar ? What by narrowing the mouth of the River ? All for a wider footpath which can be built on the existing structure, which we support:)

And a MASSIVE “thank you” to Cafe Buzz - One of the many business supporting us to “Safe Our Breakwall”

See every one tomorrow on the 10th at 2pm Town Beach, “Breakwall HQ” :))

A 180 back backflip from councillor Lisa Intemann from 3 weeks ago. Now interestingly, and all of a sudden, she’s happy with the lack of information from Transport NSW, as nothing to date has still been provided which we asked for. This wouldn’t have anything to do with politics from our MP, a vote scheduled 2 days before a community rally ?

Im pretty sure the community will be still coming together on the 10th regardless of any vote 😊

FINALLY

(WORTH A READ BELOW)

Manly Hydraulics rated the Southwall a 5/ 6 in 2021 (very good).

Then the next year Royal Haskoning was commission to came back for a second look and do a full multi beam survey with a report. Why, when it was cleared a year earlier from Manly Hydraulics, and why wasn’t North-wall surveyed when it received a 4/5 from Manly Hydraulics ?

The Royal Haskoning report finally came out this month , “ AFTER“ the rocks had already been paid for and thousands of times delivered to Port Macquarie. Surprise, surprise the Royal Haskoning report recommended a full reconstruction. They also wont supply any raw images they based their report off.

So we decided to take a look ourselves and let you be the judge.
