B2B Buyers value educational content over a product pitch or bragging claim.

When it comes to making purchasing decisions, B2B buyers spend up to 83% of their time conducting self-led research, leaving only 17% of their time left for sales interactions.

If your content isn’t guiding your buyers towards your firm, they will be led towards your competition instead.

At Collab, we help our clients create valuable content that resonates with their audience.

Ingredient branding is about branding a product or service that transfers a higher level of quality or utility to the 'host' brand or product.

The Core Strategic Mechanics:
▪️ Dual-Marketers: B2B companies must operate simultaneously as consumer marketers (generating end-user pull) and customer marketers (selling directly to host manufacturers).
▪️ Consumer Pull Demand: Generating direct demand among end users forces host brands to adopt the ingredient. Without it, the host product risks being perceived as generic or sub-par against category rivals.
▪️ Negotiation Leverage: Widespread end-consumer recognition grants the ingredient brand superior pricing power, stronger supply contract terms and increased defensibility against white-label alternatives.

"Be authentic" has become another marketing buzzword; a 'quick-fix' solution to force any content to resonate with an audience.

Here is what the research says:
▪️Purchase Impact: 70% of consumers consider brand authenticity a critical factor when buying.
▪️Pricing Power: 77% would pay a premium for an authentic brand over a direct competitor.
▪️Customer Loyalty: ~75% are more likely to stay loyal to brands they perceive as genuine.

But authenticity has a paradoxical quirk: the moment you try to manufacture it, it disappears. Try-hard energy creates a massive reality gap, with 92% of marketers insisting their content is authentic, yet only 51% of consumers actually agree.

For most construction firms, securing contracts through a tendering process is a vital growth strategy. However, relying on the tender process alone means you’re always waiting to be invited to the table.

When you add a clear, proactive brand building strategy on top, you create new opportunities, shape preferences earlier and make it far more likely that your firm is the one people want to work with before the paperwork even starts.

A well-considered brand strategy lays the foundations of your success well before you submit your tender. Read our latest article to uncover our construction branding tips: https://blog.collabagency.com.au/branding-for-tender-driven-construction-firms

In light of NAIDOC Week, our team participated in Birrarung Wilam River Walking Tour hosted by the Koorie Heritage Trust at Federation Square.

Led by a First Nations guide, we learned about the Traditional Custodians of Naarm and gained a deeper insight into their culture.

This year's theme is "50 Years of Deadly", marking the milestone of celebrating five decades of NAIDOC Week as a platform for truth-telling and the celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture across Australia.

Faced with increasing pressure from CFOs to prove ROI, recent data from The B2B Institute shares that two-thirds of B2B marketers are defaulting to metrics that fit neatly into a dashboard: reach, clicks, impressions and individual leads. This measurement gap prevents these teams from investing in strategies that will actually drive growth within the B2B market.

B2B buying doesn't happen on an individual scale, data has shown the average deal involves up to 13 different stakeholders and takes nearly 12 months to complete. When we only measure data that is convenient, we end up reporting vanity metrics rather than presenting real business alignment.

Last week we were delighted to collaborate with our commercial videographer, Steven Pam to produce high-impact, branded video content for our client.

Our aim was to capture the deep expertise of their professional services firm with engaging visuals, purpose-built for their website and social media channels.
