Packaging plays an important role in getting customers to pick up your product and should be carefully considered.

Here’s 3 things you should think about when deciding on your product’s packaging:

▪️Is your packaging design eye-catching? - Always remember first impressions count! If you have been reading our previous posts you will already know you only have 7 seconds to make a first impression. Your design needs to capture the customer’s attention so they will want to learn more about your product.

▪️Is your design appropriate for the intended audience? - for example, if your product is a luxury item your design will be simple and elegant rather than bright and colourful. If your product is for children the design will be bright and colourful rather than simple and elegant.

▪️Are your packaging materials appropriate to your brand/product? - For example, if your product is eco-friendly is your packaging made from sustainable materials? If your product is a luxury item have your used high quality packaging materials?

If customers feel a business has put care and effort into their packaging they will assume that is reflective of the brand itself. This means they are more likely to pick up and purchase their product.
