I never thought I’d share this but…

I scaled my business by outsourcing 💁🏼‍♀️
Running an online business is TOUGH, I mean, really tough!
And the to-do list never gets any smaller 😓

That’s why I invested in my business & outsourced💰

I remember it like it was yesterday… the day my new virtual ‘helper’ sent me her draft work for approval.

I felt excited. I felt nervous 😬

I was almost scared to look - what if she didn’t understand me or my business, what if I had just wasted my hard earned money 💵

Just like that first sip of coffee in the morning… I needed it to work!

WHY?

Because I wanted my business to be successful, but I didn’t have the time to do everything.

Between updating the website, creating & designing new products, replying to emails, SEO, email marketing, blogging, social media… I had no time to do it all & not at 100%.

This was stopping me from scaling my business.
I was stopping myself from scaling my business.

So, what happened to my business after I started outsourcing?

In the first month, I landed 5 stockists for my product.

In the second month, I had my business on page 1 of Google, ranking in 3rd for a major keyword.

And in the third month, nearly sold out an entire collection to my newly nurtured email list.

And what did it feel like? Taste like?

TIP:

I start by writing all of the 12 key message captions out first, then I copy & paste each one into my content schedule on the days I plan to put that specific content pillar.

Then I start writing the 9 feature/ benefit captions and do the same for them.

Then so on & so on.

It’s ok if you sound like you’re repeating yourself.

Why?

Because your audience needs to be reminded of what you do, how you can help & how you have helped…regularly.

What is the key to success on social media? 🔑

A STRATEGY!

A strategy is a road map & without it, you'll go *INSANE*.

We have all been there... posting without purpose.

Not only does it get you know where (and fast) but it is a big fat waste of time.

Here are 6 steps to help you put a successful Instagram strategy together & back on track to success.

1: Establish your goals - What is the reason you are using Instagram for your business?

- Brand awareness
- Sales
- Lead capture
- Followers
-Prospects

2. Know your audience - Understand everything about them.

- What platforms do they hang out on? What groups are you engaging in? What shows do they watch? What podcasts do they listen to? etc

3. Competition - Your competition has already done the hard work for you. They have tested the content, and built their audience - use this to get ahead & save time. Look at what has worked & what hasn't.

- More than likely your audience will be hanging out there too!

4. Create your content pillars - These are 3-5 subject areas your content will cover.

- Then you can easily craft content around these (helping you save time).

5. Start creating content - Use your pillars to create months worth of content.

- Outsource this to help save time (aka hire someone like me!)

6. Set KPIs (key performance indicators) - How do you know if things are working if you haven't set any indicators?

- Monitor them weekly/ monthly

​If you know me (which most of you do), you would know I have mentioned the 4 C's a few times (some would even say I sound like a broken record LOL).






​These 4 C's are gold in the world of social media & can grow your business.





​Content. Consistency. Commitment. Collaboration.



​As we know CONTENT is king! It is this very thing that should stop people while they scroll. Your image grabs their attention & your caption (copy) gets them reading & sticking around longer.







​CONSISTENCY is key! This doesn't just mean consistency in posting, it also means consistent in your branding & your tone of voice.






​COMMITMENT. Social media can be a tough game but you must COMMIT to being consistent & commit to making sure your CONTENT & copy is king!





​And my favourite, COLLABORATION! Yes, influencers can be great for your business (always do your research on them first & have contracts in place), but collaborating with other business is the way to go. Other business owners are usually just as passionate, hard-working & enthusiastic about the outcome as you are.
