I remember my first Mother's Day.
I was desperate for a sleep-in and a day off.
And I was grateful to accept both.
My next thought was, "Why am I desperate for a day off? Is this how parenting has to feel?!"
I was parenting almost full-time, waking to a baby multiple times a night (even while sharing this with my partner) and clutching at memories of pre-baby independence and creative time.
As a strong problem-solver personality, over the next year my project evolved to creating a life where I didn't feel desperate for a day off and maybe even slept in occasionally!
So, yesterday was my 3rd Mother's Day and as a family, we are in a wildly different place.
I actually wanted brekky WITH the fam! (This is not to brag - but to interrupt the assumption and rhetoric that Mother's need a day off on Mother's Day.)
Brekky was in bed, because tradition. And yes, Woody did sit on egg yolk 😂
The vision I have for my business, and the women-led businesses I work with is this:
🏖️ Creating a business that doesn't drain us.
🏖️ Building a brand that attracts the right audience *easily*.
🏖️ Working within our values so we can sleep at night.
🏖️ If we choose to be a Mum, then also creating a business that accommodates parenting demands.
I believe that creating a business that serves your body and your dreams, has the flow-on effect of making the world a better place.
And brand strategy and brand design can help your business do all these things 💥
