Let’s be more transparent about socials for a second.
People on the internet will tell you it’s easy. And honestly - it *can* be.
But it’s only “easy” when the behind-the-scenes work is getting done consistently.
Here’s what that work looks like for us each month at Soda (for our own content and our clients):
- Content shoot (1-3 hours) to capture BTS + fill the gaps
- Editing - photos/videos/graphics/captions (4-8 hours) so we’re not scrambling daily
- Quality check before posting (15 mins) to catch the little things
- Schedule everything (30 mins) so content goes out even when life gets busy
- Quality check after posting (15 mins) because apps glitch and posts crop weird
- Research + map next month (2-4 hours) so we can show up with intention
That’s roughly 8.5 hours of planned work - and it doesn’t include the invisible hours: client comms, approvals, prepping gear, travel, training, keeping systems tidy.
So yes - socials can be easy.
But “easy” is built. It’s not luck.
Save this if you want more real talk and more doable systems.
If you want a simple monthly routine you can copy, comment ROUTINE and I’ll share it.
