Mohair prices continue to perform well. At the last sale in South Africa the top priced kid mohair sold for nearly $ 62 Australian per kg. Top priced young goat mohair was over $ 41 per kg and the average market indicator remained steady at $ 29.79 per kg based on the exchange rate of the 26th May 2018. Looking forward to the next sale of the summer season on the 26th June 2018

Mohair prices continue to rise .at the last port elizabeth in south africa dated 8th may 2018 prices jumped by a furthet 3.9 % to average approx $ 30 dollars australian. Top price was nearly $ 52 for a line of kid . Overall kid averaged $ 42.88 .young goat $ 34 fine adult $ 31 .and strong adult closer to $ 30. For all the australian producers selling direct into south africa in june the sale is looking good baring any dramatic changes to the south african economy .

Latest mohair sale in south africa saw kid fleeces increase a further 5.6% to make over $ 42 dollars australian.. average increase 5 % over all lines. Great to see all mohair prices increasing and with favourable exchange rate a great time to be producing and selling mohair
