‘Headshots’, ‘profile photos’, ‘personal branding photography’…. However you want to refer to photos of people in your business, one thing’s for sure- They are SO important to telling your brand’s story in a personal and very human way. As you’ll often hear us bang on about, people connect with people more than anything else. So showing the people behind the brand can go a long way in connecting your customers (or potential ones) to you and what you’re selling.

Here is a collection of a few one’s we’ve done at Inka. As you can see, headshots don’t always have to a white background. They can be colourful, they can be action shots, they can be in a studio, an office a home or even outdoors! It’s all about giving a sense of your vibe so people can get to know you. 💙📷

Reminiscing about the incredible launch of The Elements Activity Park at the end of last year. The culmination of months and months of hard work to launch this amazing destination by the water at Wyndham Harbour . We were so proud to see this fun and epically beautiful experience that embraces the outdoors come to life. If you haven’t checked it out yet and you’re looking for a fun school holidays activity or a cute date day that isn’t just the usual dinner and a movie, absolutely check it out friends! 💗⛳️🍔

💕 Currently reading 💕 *just in time for International Women’s Day today*

10 years on from Julia Gillard’s power punching and history making misogyny speech, she’s released ‘Not Now, Not Ever’. A book and audiobook that explores the history and culture of misogyny, tools in the patriarchy’s toolbox, intersectionality, and gender and misogyny in the media and politics.

With contributions from Mary Beard, Jess Hill, Jennifer Palmieri, Katharine Murphy and members of the Global Institute for Women’s Leadership, this is an incredible book of reflections, essays and perspectives around sexism in our society, how it’s changed and well, quite frankly, how it hasn’t.

We’re about half way through and have already learnt so much. Incredibly thought provoking and certainly highlighting depths of these topics that are so much bigger than the usual conversations that happen on this day.

By the way, If you haven’t heard ‘the’ speech in a while, today’s the perfect day to pop it into Google and give it a listen. It’s guaranteed to put a fire in your belly, not matter what gender you identify as. Apparently even Barack Obama’s team watched Julia Gillard’s misogyny speech whenever they were “really annoyed” at Tony Abbott during their time working together. How good is that!? 😆

One from the archives! Back in 2015 at the Female Entrepreneur Awards when Sara was the Melbourne ambassador for . It was such a big and revolutionary time for women in business with trailblazers like the wonderful Sheryl Thai leading the way in connecting and educating women in new businesses.

So much has changed in this last 8 years and it’s big thanks to events like this and organisations like The League. More than ever before new business are popping up and trying their luck.

We love visitors!! Within the last week, we’ve welcomed people from around 18 different businesses into the Inka studio for a series of workshops all about how to build a memorable brand. Sara got these business owners to think about their brand’s own unique personality and to deeply consider who their audience is and how to reach and connect to them.

Huge thanks to for having us on board to deliver these. Sara’s been so impressed with the passion and innovation of this incredible bunch small business owners. Over the next month, each will put into practice what they’ve learnt and we’ll meet again soon to workshop through the next steps after a strong brand strategy is in place.
