Skin to Threads - Reer Endz Underwear
How do we get from idea to product?
It’s one thing to have an idea for a product that you’d like to design, but taking that idea all the way through to realisation and sales is where the real challenges begin.
Fortunately this is what we do well here at Drawn Upon.
Take a look at this idea our client Reer Endz had for their new range of amazing organic cotton underwear. They love create underwear that is boom, not bland.
Inspired by traditional tattoo flash art we worked together to turn a page of ideas and reference images into a fully functioning, super comfy, pair of underdaks.
As per the brief, “intertwining traditions with contemporary style, embrace the captivating allure of Skin to threads - where the art of tattooing graces the very fabric of our organic cotton men’s underwear.” I mean what a fantastic brief for briefs (sorry I had to).
So with this in mind, we set to work collecting inspiration, choosing colours that we know will print well and finally sketching some initial pieces. These prints need to be bold and work well when printed onto cotton fabric. Plenty of thought goes into the printed end product whilst we design on screen.
I’m proud to say that after an initial change of colour, this print design was signed off and is now available at their site and plenty of stockists around the country.
