Cook / Housekeeper required for seeding period.
We are seeking to employ a cook / housekeeper. Duties to include preparing and cooking healthy home cooked evening meals and lunches for 6-8 people, meal planning, grocery shopping, cleaning and maintaining workers accommodation and one other residence. Some gardening and watering also.
This job qualifies for 88 days work for working holiday makers.
We are located 3 hours east of Perth at Narembeen.
This is a smoke free and v**e free workplace.
Meals and accommodation provided
Good English and communication skills essential.
Drivers licence essential

Thanks to James Kennedy and his team at Kennedy Civil WA for all their hard work. James managed this renovation for us, and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome.

We have completely transformed this 1950’s house into a modern 4x1 ready for our seasonal workers.

Air Seeder Operator / Farmhand Required

We are looking for an airseeder operator for the upcoming seeding season. Duties will include but not limited to;

12 hour shifts on seeder ( day and night shift), spreader operation, checking and maintaining equipment, rock picker driving, filling machine with seed and fertiliser, cleaning machinery and other general farm work including paddock cleanup, stock work etc.

Non smoking and non va**ng workplace and quarters.

Meals provided during seeding season.

Good modern equipment.

Newly renovated quarters with aircon and wifi.

Tractor and preferably seeding experience essential (please do not apply if you don’t have the experience).

GPS experience an advantage.

Boomspray experience an advantage

Drivers license essential.

Good hourly rate for good operators.

Yesterday we were privileged to host the Western Australian Competition Shearing Association fundraiser and training day at Glengariff. The standard of the shearing and wool handling was excellent and we were blown away by the attendance of shearers, woolhanders, classers, judges and trainers from all over the state. We also had a lot of local shearers, contractors, livestock agents and wool reps drop in for a look.
Thanks to all who attended and also to Elders Narembeen for the use of the BBQ trailer.
A big thanks also to our shearing contractor Shawn Puru for giving up some sheep from his run to let these guys have their fundraiser.

And just like that we’re into it for the new year. Dam cleaning has commenced. It’s the job no one wants but it’s a great chance to increase storage capacity and reduce the risk of stock getting stuck in muddy banks

Big week with all lambs being vaccinated, drenched and shorn. Some lambs have been carted to the shed and all have been carted away from the shed. We also managed to crutch all of the ewes and have had the boomspray going in the background finishing off spray topping as well as a few kms of new fence going up. A big thanks to all of our awesome staff and contractors for making it all happen.

Please take a look at this short video. Unfortunately the federal Labor government are trying to shut down the live sheep trade in Western Australia, and this will eventually lead to the collapse of the entire sheep industry in Western Australia and possibly Australia.
