Welcome to Petite Paper Co. We're a small home boutique studio that specializes in custom stationery designs including cards, home wall prints, wedding invitation suites and even wedding on-the-day stationery. It all started after I (Demie) graduated from university as a graphic designer. I had underwent a lot of internship and work opportunities, but I felt what I did wasn't satisfying enough. I

knew my passion was truly in stationery design—that's when I decided that I should try my hand at opening my own Etsy store to sell some of my work. Who knew fast forward a couple years later, I'd still be doing it and so much more. We've now branched out to doing custom wedding invitations, so if you're keen, don't hesitate to contact us. We handle a lot of the production in-house and everything from the designing of the product to packing your items is handled with great care. We hope you or whoever you're gifting our products to loves it as much as we loved designing it for you/them. So believe it or not, I didn’t stay away from my computer for the duration of my maternity leave last year. 😅 I asked myself a few times… “if I could design a new suite or design more of something, what would it be?” And MAYBE it was because I was watching the new season of Bridgerton at the time, but I knew the answer in my head.. it had to be something inspired by the chinoiserie style.

The last design I did with the same style were for Dominique and Michael’s nyonya wedding dinner party that was held in the famous ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ blue house in Penang. It featured two double sided patterns printed in gold ink (swipe left to see them)

So, I gave myself a simple brief and these were the results. I’ve always wished I’d find someone who would give me the opportunity to style some tassels with some pretty cool paper shapes and patterns.

3 years married today. ❤️

As I reflect back, there’s definitely things I would’ve changed, if not for how stressed I already was planning our wedding. Like, how doing alternated coloured menus was a bad idea! 😅

But in a time where we’re always so consumed by the latest trends, it’s easy to feel like what we do/did feels small in comparison..

But I’m forever thankful that I had the privilege of working with some of the best in the industry to help pull off something far better than I could have ever done! So, thank you! 💕

Before and after ✨ what a difference the setup makes!

Currently I’ve got capacity for some more wedding work. So if you’re in the planning process, I’d love to hear from you and share how I can help with your big event-whatever it may be! Ya girl has more than 10 years of experience as a graphic designer/finished artist as I still work full time in the field working across a lot of design and hoardings for shopping centres. One might say that film cameras are a waste, but when I looked back at the photos my guests took, you can really tell the what the vibe was 🤭

Oval cut menus for Sherri and Josh to match with her dark lush pink/burgundy florals. When Sherri first gave me her brief, it was honestly the best feeling as a designer because she had everything listed out.. even a page for her colour palette in HEX codes. 🤩 so after some discussions we landed on this deep forest green to help elevate the table setting.

Doubled as place cards, these menus are a great way to save on double the printing. 👌🏻

Just proof that the oval shape is still in! BUT, I can essentially custom cut any shape you want. So if you’ve been thinking about it, come and inquire and I’ll be more than happy to chat through some possibilities!

POV: I’m back at my first event setup/wedding of the year since being on leave. 🙌🏻

I know I don’t advertise it often, but yes, I do offer a setup service. What does this mean? Basically, I’m there on the night of your event to make sure all your stationery is ON POINT. 👌🏻 I troubleshoot anything along the way and I ensure that you don’t have to worry about anything when it comes to your stationery.

Why do I offer it? Well, it’s to maintain the integrity of my work and my designs and to make sure what is being viewed by your guests is something I am proud of.

But why don’t I Iike advertising it? Well, because it does take a few hrs out of my time being away from a night out with friends or family. It also means a lot more organising and coordination with my vendors and your venue, some would argue it’s beyond my job scope as a graphic designer.

BUT, if it’s something you really want, as my client, it will always be something I won’t say no to unless I’ve got something clashing at the same time.

So yes, if you’re someone who cares about presentation, and would like this extra service (at a cost of course), then let’s get in touch and I’d love to see how I can create some magic for you! ✨

Where it started. ✨ I cover all sorts of events, not just weddings. I’m a mum now, so I get it. The cute stuff? The birthday fluff but make it nice? Totally fine! 🥳

From the invites to the decor to the birthday cut outs. I’ll source, design, and get your stationery to match.

Addie’s 1st birthday animal party theme from her invites to the decor wall was just small ways I got everything to match. Not momentous but still impactful. ❤️

So remember once upon a time when I threw my baby shower and featured this welcome sign I did for it? Well, it been sitting in my studio for a whole year and I figured it’s time for me to do something with it!

It’s still in really good condition (albeit a little pre-loved because I thrifted it myself off marketplace) and it’s super sturdy, that I decided to offer it for hire! Yes, hire! And I can most definitely supply your decals for you. 💁🏻‍♀️✨

So if you’re looking at a different type of welcome sign for your next event, look no further! Details are on the online shop. But key pointers:
• delivery is optional (only delivering to inner city and slight outer suburbs of Melbourne. Regional is excluded, sorry!)
• decals are optional
• price includes a $100 refundable bond provided the stand is returned in its original condition.

Jumping on this trend because why not right? #2016

It was the year I created my business, formerly known as Petite Paper Goods. I sold predominantly cards and prints on Etsy, and still do! It was an outlet for me while I was in university to work on more creative projects, and if I made a buck from it, then why not?!

It was the year of learning. Learning how to make, design and sell all my greeting cards, which I still do by hand nowadays- yes, even the foiling! It was the year I had to learn how to make a profit. 😅 it was also the year I collaborated with different businesses. I worked with then letterpressed studio called “TYMPAN INK” run by friend Vivian on some one-of-a-kind letterpress cards that are still on my Etsy store btw! I also had my cards also sold wholesale with a store called ‘A GOOD SPACE’ also ran by a friend back then. Forced some family members and friends to let me design their event stationery at a fraction of the costs so I could build my name.. 🤣

It was also the year I was very much into taking flatlay imagery. I laugh and cringe as I look back at some of my photos because gosh, I can’t believe the effort I put in some them just only to get featured. 🤣 BUT hey, it worked! Some featured on brands like Tony Bianco, The Collective magazine (remember them?) but it was through this I learnt how to market my products, photograph them almost all by myself.

Looking back, it was the foundation to my business. Fast forward 10 years and I’ve now popped a baby 😆, worked with numerous industry led vendors- some I’m so grateful to call friends ❤️, worked with many clients (who aren’t just family and friends being forced to order from me!), had my products delivered across the world, published by some amazing magazines/wedding directories, and just see the growth in my designs.

I can’t wait to see where the next 10 years will bring me. 🥰
