A little peek at something I’ve been working on behind the scenes recently. 🪸

This ocean-themed illustration series was created as part of a custom pod wrap design, featuring colourful coral reefs, sea creatures and plenty of underwater details to discover.

I always love projects that let me combine storytelling, illustration and large-scale design. 🐠🦈🦀

Recently wrapped up a large-scale illustration project for a big Aussie corporate!
 14(!!!) custom scenes designed for their meeting room pods, adding a little more fun and colour to their workspace.

This coastal scene was one of my favourites to create 🌴

Designers everywhere are jumping on the trend… so I thought I’d do a Little Black Kat version 😜

One of my favourite parts of branding is creating those extra little details (like a sub mark) that make a brand feel more recognisable, memorable and FUN beyond just the main logo.

And the reason they’re all shown in black?
A strong logo should still be recognisable in one colour… because great brand needs to work everywhere, from social icons, packaging, signage, uniforms and more! 👀

From scrappy little flower doodles… to a real-life swim collection

Getting to collaborate with the team at Sheila May Swim on this collection has been such a fun creative process. We started with moodboards, rough sketches, colour palettes and pattern ideas… then slowly watched it all come to life piece by piece.

One of the quickest ways to make your brand look messy?

Too many fonts.
 More fonts don’t make your design more interesting…
They just make it harder to read, recognise and understand.

When it comes to fonts, it’s actually pretty simple:
👉 Text font (your go-to, ideally with multiple weights)
👉 Heading font (to add contrast)
👉 Accent font (optional, but great if your brand’s a bit more playful)

That’s it.

Because when your fonts are consistent, everything starts to click.
Your posts look more put-together.
Your product feels more premium.
And your design guides the reader, so things make sense faster.

Because good typography isn’t just about looking nice. It helps people understand and remember your brand.
