There's a slightly weird 10-point allocation system to indicate which areas you support most, but the really important part is at the end, where you can upload a written submission (even just one paragraph would help), a quick video, or anything else that shares your point of view.

It's so important that lots of us individuals let Council know how important it is to support art, artists and creatives of all kinds in our community—and not lose even more creative spaces to apartment developments.

While there are no immediate plans, many of you know that our beloved 35+ year-old volunteer-run artists' studios and gallery 106 Art, which I've been part of for more than 15 years will one day be forced to close for redevelopment as apartments. That will mean 27 working artists returning to their dining room tables and working in isolation. We cannot explain how important this community is and has been to a sense of community and support for each of us as artists, being able to work together without the pressure of needing to become commercial artists. We have just had affordable, private spaces to practice our art and share our work as a community and exhibit affordably.

Please, please, please let Council know how you feel about supporting artists and creative practitioners in our municipality, and please share this with anyone you think might care.
We absolutely need subsidised, affordable places to both work and gather as a community—both long-term (10 years plus) as well as temporary spaces to meet, gather, talk about and share our practice.

An experimental short film collaboration between resident 106 Art artists Tamar Dolev and Kat Mat (Katrina Mathers).

Supported by Yarra Sculpture Gallery, Arts Access Victoria, 106 Art Cherry Hands Media and the Australian Cultural Fund.

All donations over $2 are tax-deductible. No contribution is too small.

We're hoping to raise another $4,300 to cover our out-of-pocket personal expenses to make the film - things like art materials, modest fees for an editor and VFX artist, sound designer, colour grader, some music licenses, cloud storage and maybe even some film-festival entry fees for the film once we're done.

We had the absolute pleasure recently of visiting set, to take some behind-the-scenes pics and vids for Little Red Fox Productions latest film, the short drama, PUNCHED.

Directed by Richard Cawthorne, DOP David Richardson, Written by Kerry Drumm, Produced by Emma Hunt and starring none other than the incredible Ryan Moloney. We can't wait to see the final results of this one!!
