I don't recommend my clients to GoDaddy but if you have a site with them you should reset your login details as per this article.

In a security disclosure published today, GoDaddy says that up to 1.2 million active and inactive customers have been exposed after hackers gained access to its managed WordPress hosting platform.

While the online world transitions to a much more demanding PHP version, those convenient auto-update options offered lately for WordPress plugins might not be such a brilliant idea, as they could break a site if left to their own devices. If you're a Cyberdog client I'll be watching this closely for you.

This is a very interesting direct feature comparison between working in WordPress, Wix, Weebly, Squarespace and others. You still need to be able to write succinct, effective copy, take and edit photographs, set up your CTAs (calls to action) and all the other things that go into representing your business online.

I had to admit that I just didn't know the difference between these words, so I looked them up ...

Misinformation is false or inaccurate information, whether intentional or not. Disinformation is false information spread deliberately to deceive, which these days covers malicious online content such as hoaxes, spearphishing and propaganda. Interestingly the word disinformation is a loan translation of the Russian 'dezinformatsiya', derived from the title of a KGB black propaganda department.

An uninterested person is bored, unconcerned, or indifferent; a disinterested person is impartial, unbiased, or has no stake in the outcome.

I was always faintly concerned about the emotional state of a website or device that was insecure. Although these things are thus unsecured, there is no such word as 'unsecure'. Perhaps there should be – and why not?

I like designing for the Bilpin Flower Show and Spring Fair. For years they had a schedule made in Word [ugh!] and it was ugly, stern and unappealing. For a flower show! So we completely rethought it to make it consistent with the branding, attractive and easier to understand. Girly design? Yes I do that too!

I understand that people start their first site with online web builder services like Wix, Squarespace, etc. But after wrestling with a new client's Weebly site for some time, I reckon Weebly is a piece of rubbish even if you're not paying for it.
