Meet Tim Birch! Co-Owner & Creative Director at Smith Madden.

With a background spanning graphic design, photography, videography and creative direction, Tim leads our media production and creative projects with a strong focus on storytelling, strategy and pushing creative boundaries. From hotel launches and campaigns to brand films and community content shoots, he brings a calm confidence and an incredibly sharp creative eye to everything he touches.

But beyond the work itself, it’s the way Tim leads his creative team that makes the biggest impact.

A launch starts long before opening day.

The right pre-launch strategy builds anticipation, shapes perception and creates a feeling people already want to be part of before they ever check in.

Earlier this year, we worked alongside the team at AVANI Mooloolaba Beach Hotel to help capture and craft the visual direction ahead of launch - building a content library of photography and videography designed to introduce the brand, the atmosphere and the experience before the doors officially opened.

As our Account Director, Tara has a natural ability to relate to our team and clients. She seamlessly bridges the gap between clients and team, bringing a strong creative and strategic lens to every project.

Outside of work, Tara is Lenny’s dog mum, a true style queen and the coolest skate mum we know. She appreciates the good things - a great wine, beautiful spaces, travel and time well spent with family and friends.
