Whatβs IN β
and whatβs OUT π« for 2023
Iβm loving this trend because it really highlights the BIG SHIFTS over the last few years that have seen us go from βhustle cultureβ to being more aware of our wellbeing, and prioritizing it.
Itβs this kind of thing that makes me PROUD to be a Millennial, as we were the first generation who questioned the standard way of work/life balance. π
π€ Like, sorry what do you mean we canβt call in sick if weβre sick?
π€ What do you mean we have to work overtime without being paid?
π€ What do you mean we βjust have to dealβ with the crippling stress and medical conditions our jobs leave us with?
We started the conversations, and now companies worldwide are finally adopting healthier workplace practices as the NORM because people were refusing to put up with it.
There have NEVER been so many self-employed people, because we thought, why should we put up with this, when we know we can do it better ourselves? π€·π»ββοΈ
And yet, it can be so hard when you work from home and for yourself, to prioritise your health, to pay yourself super, to take a holiday and completely switch off.
So letβs make 2023 the year of US! π
