I swear half my job is mockups... But seriously - its so important to me to share work to my clients in a way that they can visualise. Whether its a sticker, proposed campaign or their logo.

I generally create 4-5 mockups for just a logo design - and thats not to mention if you want patterns, business cards, merch... the list is endless.

Which one is your fave? Let me know in the comments👇

In a row of cafes, this one stood out to me. Flick through to see how they used visuals, tone of voice and even stock choices to target their ideal customer.

If you're building a hospitality brand, stop asking:

"How do we appeal to everyone?"

Start asking:

"Who are we trying to become the favourite of?"

Because if you're a specialty roastery charging $7 for a filter coffee, you're not exactly worried about convincing instant coffee drinkers are you.

So you’re ready to start thinking about the look of your biz. Awesome! How exciting! It can be so tempting to jump on chat GPT and type this in. And look, I’m not telling you NOT to do that.

Sometimes (especially when you're starting out), having a logo is better than having no logo.

BUT....and it's a big butt 🍑😏

Before you build your entire brand around an AI-generated logo, there are a few things worth knowing.

For starters, copyright isn't as straightforward as many people think. In Australia, copyright generally relies on human authorship, which means AI-generated logos can sit in a bit of a grey area.

Then there's the originality problem.

AI learns from existing content. So if 500 café owners ask for a "modern coastal coffee shop logo," chances are the results are going to look pretty similar. Not ideal when you're trying to stand out in a sea of cafés, venues, events, and tourism brands.

And let's talk about file quality for a second.

That logo might look great as a tiny Instagram profile picture, but what happens when you need it on signage, uniforms, menus, event banners, or your coffee cups?

Most AI-generated files are exported for screens, not large-format print. Which is why they can quickly become blurry, pixelated, and unusable.

But the biggest issue?

AI can create a logo.

It can't create a brand strategy.

It doesn't know:

☕ Who your ideal customer is
🎟️ What makes your event different
🌴 Why people should choose your venue over the one next door
💥 What feeling you want people to have before they even arrive

Good branding does more than just look good – It creates recognition, connection, and a reason for people to remember you.

AI is an incredible tool and used correctly and strategically, very helpful for business owners.

But when it comes to building a brand that's uniquely yours, strategy still matters.
