Today, on National Sorry Day, we acknowledge the Stolen Generations and the enduring impact of past government policies on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, families and communities.

This year’s theme, From Sorry to Action, is a clear call to move beyond words and into meaningful change.

Acknowledging past harm is important, but acting to address it is critical. Sorry signals compassion; action delivers justice.

At Primary, we stand with Stolen Generations survivors and their families, and recognise that truth-telling, healing and reconciliation require ongoing commitment.

We encourage our community to mark National Sorry Day on 26 May and reflect on the role we can all play in moving from sorry to action.

Behind the scenes on a recent brand video and stills shoot for Landcom’s Hillcroft development in Southwest Sydney.

The brief was to capture the sense of community, amenity and everyday life that helps a place feel like home, bringing the story to life for house and land buyers looking to settle in the area.

Led by Primary Create’s Heidi Skinner and Ian Hartley, the shoot brought together an experienced creative team to plan, capture and deliver assets across motion and stills for digital advertising, out-of-home, branded signage and collateral.

The results will speak for themselves when the final campaign assets begin rolling out later this month.

We’re looking forward to seeing the work out in the world.

The iconic green and gold kangaroo was front and centre at this morning’s breakfast, hosted by Australian Made Campaign, with Primary represented by Lindsay Toussaint, Head of Strategic Partnerships.

, Cabinet Secretary and Assistant Minister for Science, Technology and the Digital Economy, spoke about AI and the choices Australian businesses are making now.

As more businesses look at how to use AI, he made a strong case for giving Australian AI platforms a go. Choosing them keeps value here, builds local expertise and supports Australian jobs.

Dr Kenneth Cato AO and Ben Lazzaro then took the room back to 1986, when the Hawke Government commissioned what became the Australian Made logo.

Created under a two-day deadline, the green and gold kangaroo remains essentially unchanged almost 40 years later. It still carries enormous value for Australian businesses.

Australia is waiting expectantly for the Federal Budget to be delivered tonight. Treasurer Dr Jim Chalmers is preparing to hand down a Budget which will set the tone for the year ahead, with tax reform, spending priorities, savings measures and sector impacts all firmly in focus.

While economists, industry leaders and commentators have been offering advice on where the Government should find savings, from spending cuts to broader structural reform, we’ve been working closely with our clients to prepare for what the Budget 26-27 means in practice.

This evening, Primary will be part of the Federal Budget lock-up in Canberra, on the ground as the details are handed down. At the same time, our Sydney team will be analysing the post-lock-up feed in real time, identifying the key opportunities, risks and implications for our clients and partners.

For them all, this will mean clear, timely and actionable advice, helping them understand what the Budget means for their sectors, businesses, stakeholders, and what may need to shift in their engagement and communication strategies.

Check back in for our post-Budget analysis when the embargo lifts later this evening.
