This is the reason the wrong leads keep showing up in your inbox:
It all comes down to brand association. When someone hears your name, one of three things happens:
1. They think of the wrong thing.
2. They think of nothing.
3. They think of exactly what you sell.
Only the third one gives you a shot at high quality leads.
This means that every piece of content you post is doing one of two jobs. It’s either reinforcing the right association, or building the wrong one. Your pinned posts, your bio, your YouTube, your short form - all of it is either points towards the work you want to do, or pulls you back towards the work you’ve outgrown.
Most business owners never fix this because they’re scared of losing the audience they already have. But that audience was built around a version of you that doesn’t match what you sell now.
And that mismatch is part of the reason the wrong leads keep showing up.
So here’s something you can actually do this week: Open your profile, read your bio out loud, and look at your last 9 posts. Then ask one question. If a stranger landed here right now, would they know exactly what I do and exactly who I do it for? If the answer is no, that’s a brand association problem.
No amount of new content fixes it until you fix that.
