2021 Social Media Tips for your business✨

🌟 Stop posting all the time:
This year it’s all about “less is more” with posting. Your audience wants true value from your brand and your content. Only share content you feel your audience would want to see compared to having to share 2 to 3 posts a day for the sake of it.

🌟Conversational Tone:
Before, it was about promoting and making sales. Try focusing your time on nurturing your audience and providing educational value about your brand. Not only is it genuine but also will assist with the new algorithm of saves/shares over likes.

🌟Videos vs Images:
With the increase of consumers enjoying Tiktoks, Instagram reels and stories it was a matter of time before videos became more popular. They are easy to watch and also require less brainpower for the audience. Think about how many of you just look at Instagram stories compared to your timeline? I know I do! Focus your time on creating short video content even if it’s more stories.

🌟Authenticity is key:
2020 has had a massive impact on this, with everyone being on social media more due to lockdowns and WFH. Consumers are warier of unauthentic brands, it’s important to change your approach and ensure your audience are trusting you and your brand. At the end of the day, we are all human!

2020 has certainly had its ups and downs and more so for a lot of people and businesses. I have been fortunate that this year hasn’t been too bad for me. If I didn’t lose my job I would have never created The Social Approach and would never have started my journey in marketing and met some amazing people along the way, that I can call close friends🤍

✨Take time to look back on your year and reflect.
✨Take the lessons you’ve learnt this year and use them to make 2021 an unforgettable year!
