Long time no post! Hello friends! I’ve been WFH with a sick child this week. He’s on the mend now. The sun is out so I’ve nipped out for a cheeky coffee and fresh air. Glad the kids are old enough to be at home by themselves for a bit these days. They are still in PJs because it’s school holidays. 😎 And soon I’ll be back at my desk getting stuck into a report layout for a client. 📝

Picked up a couple of second-hand design books (lettering and layout) from the upstairs at Berkeleows Leichhardt. Closing on Sunday. So sad to see the empty shelves. I grabbed a snap of the chandelier from above. I don’t know the details but it sounds to me like building owner asking too much rent for it to be viable, which is a familiar story that makes me so angry and sad at the same time. Profits for owners over smaller businesses and communities. What a terrible shame.

Bought myself some Restore products for Xmas because it’s for a good cause But also because it’s super fun to see my on real products. How cool! I adapted their exisiting pattern and logo with new palette and layouts. Bonus: this citrus handcream smells divine!

Scum still doing scum things.

The Elvy’s Meats saga is unfortunately continuing. To reiterate, the ONLY Elvy’s has moved to Concord with David and John. The quality, passion, team and love for the craft goes with them.

My ex-landlord is holding a family name (and Company name) hostage, resulting in the legacy of two honest, hardworking men disappear. This is, once again a disgusting act by my ex-landlord and property manager who are simply bitter for truth being told and their golden goose moving on.

Help John and myself keep Elvy’s special, keep 74 years of history stay with the people who did the hard work, made the sacrifices, endured every hard time- not a landlord with a grudge who owns a building.
