Big news in the marketing measurement world - Andy Ford has joined Analytic Partners as Associate Vice President!

Anyone working in measurement, effectiveness or marketing analytics will know Andy’s track record. From building out marketing science at Meta to leading data intelligence at Coles 360, he’s spent years tackling some of the industry’s toughest measurement questions.

Now he’s turning that focus to the bigger picture: helping marketers understand how media and marketing actually work together across the full ecosystem and how measurement can shift from hindsight to foresight.

It’s a big move for Analytic Partners - and a sign of plenty of good work to come.

When does persuasion become manipulation?

Most marketers probably have a gut feel for when something crosses the line - but with unfair trading practices moving into regulatory focus, that line is about to be defined more clearly.

A proposed update to Australian Consumer Law would introduce a broad prohibition on conduct that unreasonably manipulates consumers or distorts the environment in which they make decisions.

In his latest op-ed in Mumbrella, Peter Leonard, Chair of ADMA’s Regulatory and Advocacy Working Group, unpacks what that could mean in practice - from ‘Dark Patterns’ and hard-to-find opt-outs to design choices that subtly steer decisions.

It’s a timely read for anyone building digital experiences today - check out the full op-ed link below 👇

Early starts are always worth it when it's to help spread the word about something important – and the Male Confidence Index is definitely that.

Frank Arthur smashed his appearance on the Today Show to talk about Man of Many's new research project, which highlights a lot of big challenges and opportunities facing men today.

Why is this important? As Frank explains: "Confidence shapes how men show up in the world – as partners, fathers, colleagues and friends."

📊 Some key stats show some stark differences between the generations:
• Gen Z men score 66/100 in overall confidence, while Gen X hit a midlife low of 60/100
• 61% of Gen Z could express emotions with their fathers growing up, compared to just 30% of Gen X
• Only 38% of Gen X men feel comfortable showing vulnerability (vs 51% of Gen Z)

There's a lot to unpack here for everyone – we recommend you hop in and dissect this important report for yourself. Link below to download the full report and watch the segment from on the Today Show.
