If you're unsure about budgets, do this:

Set up a Facebook ads campaign with the objective as leads, and select "Click to Message".

I recommend via your page or Whatsapp because then you have an open line of communication with that prospect.

Have an organic, non forceful or salesy conversation. Just ask questions in a friendly yet professional manner.

Your end goal is to attempt to get them onto a phone call.

During the message exchange, sending a voice message humanises the process. I strongly recommend doing this.

That's it, that's how you can generate leads and monetise Facebook ads. You don't even need a website for this approach.

You can literally target people who are looking for you right now, in the buying mindset. These are called "In-market audiences".

This works for ANY trade vertical:
✅ Landscaping: Yep
✅ Residential Construction: Yep
✅ Roofing: Yep
✅ Kitchen Remodelling: Yep
✅ Painting Services: Yep
✅ Flooring Services: Yep
✅ Decking and Pergolas: Yep
✅ Bathroom Renovations: Yep

The reason this works is because Google are using their own search data to identify people who are searching for these (and MANY more) services.

We are even able to target specific types of income brackets, which means we can target people who have money, who are also looking for these services, now.

We run these ads targeting these audiences (and some special stuff we do in the back end) and bring in leads like clockwork.

Now, there are a few other points that must be locked in:

✅ Your website MUST be setup to convert these clicks. Not a pretty photo gallery with too many bells and whistles and distractions.

✅ You must have a follow up sequence because approx 90% of peope who visit a website for the first time do NOT take action (this stat is from Google themselves, pretty astounding huh?).

There are areas in life where you can fake it til you make it, but paid advertising isn't one of them.

Interesting stats:

Creative (the imagery in your ad) accounts for 47% of an advertising campaign's success.

The most important tactic on the other hand is targeting, which comes down the the data you can incorporate into your campaign.

When it comes to Google/Youtube and Facebook/Insta, we are extremely fortunate that they have access to incredibly granular audience data, which we are able to access and use for our clients.

This means that we are able to accurately target people who are not just in the buying mindset, but in the buying mindset now, finalising their consideration list.

Now, while Facebook and instagram can be great lead gen channels, if not setup correctly, they are great money wasting machines. You need to tell the platform exactly who your audience are (hence why we NEVER recommend boosting posts), then you need to communicate your message to them effectively.

If you overlook even the most minuscule element, your whole campaign can fail.

If you've ever tried Facebook or Google and has less than satisfactory results, you've almost certainly overlooked one of these parts.

😱 SEO can be a nightmare unless you're a professional.😱

A lot of tradies have websites but no idea how to drive traffic towards it. ➡️

The absolute FASTEST way is via paid ads (Google, Facebook, Youtube etc). 🤑

One of the best long term strategies is via SEO (Search Engine Optimisation).

Here are 4 tips to boost your SEO profile: 🚀

1. Connect your website to Google Search Console and Google Analytics. This allows you to track everything from a browsers time spent on site to what search keywords they used to find you.

2. Set up your GMB (Google My Business) listing correctly. Add in as much info as you can. Google LOVES content. The more accurate it is, the better you'll do.

3. Set up social profiles and link to your website. Eg, page, Instagram Profile, Linkedin Profile etc. These are all sites with a strong domain authority so their "link juice" will serve you well. Update them as often as you can and repurpose your content across platforms. We have some strategies to help here that cut down time investment by 90%

4. Business Directories: Yes, you will get calls from these platforms trying to upsell you but it's as easy as "No thanks, I just wanted the free listing, cheers!". Again, add as much detail as you can to the listings. Photos, phone, name, address, services offered, hours of operation and so on.

This is a quick hack which works extremely well for local area marketing, but there is far more to SEO than this, but this will definitely help.

ALSO, please be aware that SEO can take anywhere fro 3-6 months minimum before you see results. This is because Google has to scan the internet looking for updates.

There are always people searching for Landscapers, Roofers, Residential Construction, Kitchen and Bathroom Remodelling, Decking and Pergolas and various other home improvement services.

Key word: Searching.

Focusing your marketing efforts around search engine marketing (especially if you're new to the market or new to digital ads) is always a solid strategy.

If google is too expensive, you can always use BING, but there are far less searches here.

Run a test for an intent based keyword phrase with 100 clicks as a maximum. If you get enquiries and conversions, double down. If you don't, change the keywords.

There are circumstances where 100 clicks aren't needed, and this will be a reflection of the CTR (Click Through Rate) and conversion from click to lead.

Low CTR usually (but not always) = low intent, poor targeting, lack of interest. This is indicative of a poorly set up ad.

Conversely, high CTR and low/no conversions tells you that your website is hard to navigate or confusing to the customer. Split test a different landing page - You don't NEED a whole website. You do need at least a landing page - unless you go straight to click to call ads, but this is a story for another time.
