!!! 🎉 23 TODAY 🎉 !!!

Today, Tuesday the 16th of June 2026, marks 23 years since the birth of Pitstop Design Co. founder, Grant Erskine.

Born at Westmead Hospital in 2003, Grant spent much of his life growing up in Sydney's Greater West. After almost two years living in Maryborough in Queenslands Fraser Coast Region, he returned to Sydney in October 2024.

His passion for design started long before PITSTOP Design Co. became what it is today. What began as a simple interest soon turned into late nights, countless design revisions, plenty of trial and error, and an ongoing pursuit to improve with every project.

Over the years, that passion has grown into PITSTOP Design Co., producing everything from race car liveries and branding projects to sports graphics, media content and creative work for clients across Australia.

While plenty has changed over the last 23 years, the passion behind it all remains the same. The goal has never been to be the biggest — simply to keep creating, keep improving and continue building something to be proud of.

As Grant celebrates his 23rd birthday, attention now turns to the next chapter, with new opportunities, new challenges and plenty more ideas still to come.

!! THREE HOMES DESTROYED IN CLONTARF FIRE !!

Three homes have been destroyed and several families displaced after a devastating fire tore through a Brisbane neighbourhood on Saturday.

Emergency crews rushed to Weaber Street in Clontarf after reports of a house fire, with the blaze quickly spreading to neighbouring properties. More than 30 firefighters were called in as thick smoke billowed across the area and residents were evacuated from nearby homes.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported despite the scale of the fire.
Police have since charged a 36-year-old man, alleging the fire was deliberately lit. Investigators believe an accelerant may have been used, with inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident continuing.

For the families who have lost their homes, the focus now turns to rebuilding after a fire that changed lives in a matter of minutes.

!! FIVE RESCUED AFTER 10 DAYS IN FLOODED CAVE !!

Five villagers have been rescued after spending more than 10 days trapped inside a flooded cave in Laos.

The group became stranded when rising floodwaters cut off their escape while they were searching for gold in a remote cave system. Rescue teams from across the region, including Australian cave-diving specialists, joined the complex operation to reach those trapped underground.

After days of uncertainty, rescuers successfully brought five men to safety, with emotional scenes unfolding as survivors emerged from the cave and reunited with rescue crews.

The mission is not yet over, with two villagers still unaccounted for as search efforts continue.

The rescue has drawn international attention and highlighted the extraordinary determination of both the survivors and the teams working to bring them home.

!! MAN ALLEGEDLY BASSED AFTER ASKING PARTYGOERS TO TURN DOWN MUSIC !!

A man is recovering in hospital after allegedly being attacked in Sydney’s Northern Beaches when he asked a group of people to turn their music down late Friday night.

Police say the 47-year-old confronted a group partying near James Meehan Reserve in Dee Why before the situation allegedly turned violent. He was found with facial injuries and later taken to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.

The incident has shocked locals, with many calling for those responsible to be identified and held accountable. Community concerns have also been raised about safety in the area following the alleged attack.

NSW Police are continuing their investigation and are appealing for information from anyone who may have witnessed the incident.

!! 'IT HURTS ALL OVER AGAIN': WIEAMBILLA FAMILIES SPEAK OUT !!

More than three years after the tragic Wieambilla shootings shocked the nation, the families of Constable Matthew Arnold and Constable Rachel McCrow say they have been left devastated after learning the property where their loved ones were killed has been sold.

The families had hoped the site would one day become a permanent place of remembrance, honouring the lives lost in one of Australia's deadliest attacks on police. Instead, they say they discovered the property had been listed for sale, leaving them feeling blindsided and deeply disappointed.

The Queensland Police Union had previously advocated for the land to be preserved as a memorial, but those efforts were ultimately unsuccessful.

For the families, the sale isn't just about a piece of land — it's about a place forever tied to the memory of Constables Matthew Arnold and Rachel McCrow, as well as neighbour Alan Dare, who were killed during the December 2022 ambush.

Now, they say the sale has reopened old wounds and brought back the heartbreak of a tragedy that changed their lives forever.

Our thoughts remain with the families, friends and colleagues of Matthew Arnold, Rachel McCrow and Alan Dare.
