Switch out of the marketing mindset that everything has to be perfect. Perfection has a way of making good ideas feel unfinished. If you're tweaking the wording, coming up with many different concepts or questioning the direction, stop.

Take a step back. Strong marketing comes from strong thinking that sets the direction of who, why, what and where. If your planning is right, go forward and test ex*****on. If not, stay in planning and test there.

Not every idea needs to be revolutionary to be valuable. It needs to be clear, honest and useful to the people you want to reach. The businesses that grow are often the ones willing to keep moving instead of endlessly editing themselves out of visibility.

With the first quarter done and dusted, have you started thinking about refreshing your brand? A new logo. New colours. A new tagline. Another website refresh. It feels productive. It feels like progress. But most of the time, it is just marketing activity, not marketing effectiveness.

Brands are built through consistency and clarity over time. The companies we recognise instantly did not reinvent themselves every twelve months. They repeated the same signals until the market understood them.
