Making these DEADLY mistakes? ⛔

Even social media pros tend to overlook these bloopers 🤦

Creators sometimes forget that where the content is MADE and where it's CONSUMED are not the same 📱vs💻

Mobile views are nearly 2X compared to desktop (exhibit 4)

1. Avoid too much text in the thumbnails
(keep it short, catchy & straight to the point)

2. Don't put anything important in the bottom right corner
(as it gets cut off by the video duration on mobile)

3. Stop using small fonts in cover images
(since they are hard to see, especially given how quickly people scroll)

We've tried both.

So which is better?

There are hundreds of things which can make a difference like your niche and video quality...but all things equal, here's the answer:

1. Start organic
-this will help you figure out if your content is any good 👍
-you will have to put in sweat equity and promote your videos (on Facebook groups, blogs, forums, etc) - which will help you long-term
-you'll be able to see what content your audience prefers 👀

2. Get some views and subscribers
-let your channel hit minimum 100 subscribers and 1000 views (meaning you have something people will actually watch)
-this provides proof of concept and gives you ideas about the direction of your channel ✅

3. Spend that $
-there is nothing wrong with paying for traffic, it's like adding some gas to your flame 🔥
-if your content is good it's worthy of being seen, in fact it MUST be seen
-start with $5/day

Below you can see 2 screenshots from channels we manage:

1. 100% organic with $0 spent to date
You can see it had a of views and subscribers but it took more than 1 year of hard work and consistency. In fact, you can see we literally gave up after 1-2 videos and crickets 🦗 (but initially the content wasn't good).
Had we paid from the start, we would waste money promoting trash 🚮
Growing organically helped our team figure out the content, but had we spent money half way through - it would help us grow much faster!

2. We let this channel grow organically for the 1st year, and recently started spending money on ads.
As you can see, once we started posting consistently and got some views - we started promoting the videos 📈
This helped us first figure out our audience and the creative and only than turning on the boosters 🚀
