The best marketing rarely starts with marketing. It starts with listening.

Your customers are already saying what they think in public, for free, right now. Your industry is debating something while you’re not in the room. Your competitors are working channels you aren’t watching.

I founded Social Hills in 2020 and the work has changed a lot since then. We got busy and never took a moment to stop long enough to update our capabilities and how the work has evolved.

I’ve been head down for a while. Working on it.

Very close to sharing the new Social Hills.

What problem do you actually want AI to solve?

Not “how do we adopt AI faster” - that’s the question everyone’s asking and it’s the wrong one.

Diana Bui gave us a sharper one: AI is a tool for a nail you already have, not a reason to go looking for one.

Her rule is worth sitting with - she never asks AI to do anything she can’t do herself. If she can’t do the task, she can’t check the answer.

🤷‍♀️Curious to know… Do you check AI’s work before it goes out? Tell us in the poll.

🌇New episode out now: Leanne Shelton on AI, copywriting, and why human judgment still matters.

For Episode 3 of 🌆 Soc•AI•l Skylines, Christina Elisha Vetta and Gary Andrews sat down with Leanne Shelton, founder of HumanEdge AI Training global AI
trainer, keynote speaker, and author of AI Human Fusion.

Leanne brings a rare perspective to the conversation.
Before moving into AI training, she ran a copywriting agency, so she has seen both sides of the shift: the disruption AI has created for writers, and the
opportunity it gives experienced marketers to create stronger, sharper work.

In this episode, we talk about:
◾Why AI-generated copy often feels flat or generic
◾How experienced writers can use AI to amplify their
skills, not replace them
◾Why brand voice training matters more than most
people realise
◾The importance of transparency when using AI with
clients
◾Why good AI use should still make your brain hurt a
little

One of Leanne’s strongest points is that AI content stays surface-level until a human adds the layers:
strategy, audience understanding, tone, structure, critique, and real-world context.

For creatives, copywriters and business owners trying to work out where AI fits into the content process, this is a practical and very grounded conversation that will point you in the right direction.

New episode out now: Jimmy Wong on AI, food, content, and small business.

For Episode 2 of 🌆Soc•AI•l Skylines, Christina Vetta, Founder and Director of Social Hills, and Gary Andrews, marketing, brand and growth leader, sat down with Jimmy Wong, two-time MasterChef Australia contestant, including Back To Win, food blogger, content creator, chef, and President of the Hills Business Precinct.

Jimmy shares how he uses AI to support the admin-heavy side of his work, from planning and recipe adjustments to tailoring for different dietary needs, so there’s more room to focus on the work that still needs a human behind it.

As he puts it, a good AI assistant can be as essential as a good chef’s knife.
