Meet John.

Our innovative problem solver with a love of numbers and big ideas, John has spent the last 30 years working in multiple disciplines across a number of industries including media, publishing, marketing and research.

John’s unique career has allowed him to work directly with many clients & businesses of all shapes and sizes. John is highly passionate about what he does and the clients he works with.

From a career in media working with brands such as Coca Cola, Levis, Nestle and J&J, John moved into publishing, working on the launch team for Who Weekly & In Style magazines. He then made a move to the world of B2B trade publications.

John finished his 20+ years in publishing with a stint at the Australian Financial Review. His thirst for numbers and analytics saw him venture into the world of research where for eight years he worked at Roy Morgan Research, culminating in his role as General Manager, heading the agency and media business across Australia and New Zealand.

He is now our fearless GM, and an all-round legend!

Say g'day to IDA's Managing Director extraordinaire, Steve Douglas.

Steve has over 25 years of extensive media experience, holding senior and management positions with Network 10, Fairfax Newspapers and Condè Nast publications.

During this time Steve was responsible for key client relationships ranging from high-end luxury goods to FMCG. He was also responsible for Master media negotiations and the product development and launch of two highly successful magazines.

Steve launched and ran a highly successful independent strategy and buying agency for more than 10 years before the launch of Slingshot. During this time, Steve managed several high-profile brands, helping them leverage their media exposure and maximise returns. The results that were achieved for clients were based on sound strategies, client and media asset leverage, and capitalising on Steve’s longstanding and senior relationships with major media partners.
