If you’re using Claude Code without skills, you’re using 10% of the tool.

Skills are what turn one-off chats into reusable workflows.
They let you standardise the way Claude works, keep outputs consistent, and stop rewriting the same prompts every day.

Once you start thinking in skills, Claude Code stops being “AI you talk to” and becomes “AI that runs work.”

Claude Code without skills is Excel without formulas.

It works. But you’re doing everything by hand.

Every prompt written from scratch. Every output slightly different. Every teammate using Claude their own way.

Skills change that.

A skill is a reusable instruction set Claude loads on demand. One file. Consistent output. Same standard across you and your team.

Once you build them, Claude Code stops being something you talk to. It becomes something that runs the work.

→ One-off prompts become repeatable workflows → Quality stops depending on who’s at the keyboard → You spend less time prompting and more time shipping

Most consultants I work with skip this layer. Then wonder why their AI output feels inconsistent.

The output is only as good as the system behind it.

Anthropic released their best model ever… then they took it away.

That’s the real signal. Not the hype. The capability cliff.

Right now, Mythos is being tested with a small group of major companies to surface vulnerabilities before it rolls out more widely. That might be responsible, but it also raises a question about who gets access first.

I’m putting together a report on what Mythos likely is, what it changes for Claude Code, and what it means for the market, including when we might see broader access.

1. Targeting

First we get to know which type of clients are most desirable (there are always a few that are preferred over others)

Then we tailor the content, calls to action and even imagery to these client personas

2. Brand Personality

Every firm wants to be unique and seen in a certain way. This is about more than just looking professional, which every lawyer needs to be.

We work at reflecting this bit of extra personality into the website through design and tone of voice

3. First Impressions

Potential clients make judgements on what they see (or don't see) when they first load the website.

The first hurdle is always the speed at which the page loads. Then from there, it's the messaging and imagery around the hero section.

A bad website loses most of its visitors within the first minute

4. Digestible Content

Keeping it simple is a mantra we are seeing everywhere, from social media posts (eg LinkedIn) to website copy.

These days, people are not looking for a company that looks "intelligent", they are looking for one they resonate with.

This is best done by adding value. This could be via digestible education content or free tools and resources
