Let’s hear a real story from a student who went from “studying” to getting a work visa sponsorship in Australia 🇦🇺✨
CZ Team had the chance to interview a Thai student studying in Australia, and we really wanted to share this story…
just in case it becomes that little spark for anyone still wondering, “Should I go or not?” 👀
Today, let us introduce you to “Krist” 🎉
The IT student who boldly stepped out of his comfort zone
💻 Why IT?
Krist already had an IT background in Thailand, both study and work experience.
But deep down, he wanted to try something new
So he decided to move to Australia, to explore the world and level up his skills 🚀
His goal was super clear, to stay long-term and aim for PR / Citizenship
And one of the career paths with good opportunities? Yep… IT
So he chose to study Advanced Diploma of IT at Abbey College
At the beginning, things were a bit confusing, new life, new system, new environment
But what he gained was priceless:
🌏 international friends
🌏 new cultures
🌏 and Aussie accents that were… a bit confusing at first 😂
💼 Was it hard to find a job?
Krist started working while studying, beginning with a restaurant job
He didn’t choose jobs, just focused on gaining experience and exploring opportunities
As graduation got closer, he started seriously applying for IT roles
Sending applications non-stop until he landed an interview with a Thai company in Australia
At first, they were hiring for a System Admin role
But during the interview… surprise! 👀
His strong IT experience from Thailand stood out
And he got offered an IT role instead 🎯
He worked hard and helped transform the company’s system
from Excel-based processes to a proper software system
Result? Faster workflow, better efficiency, real impact
And finally…
✨ He got a work visa sponsorship!!! 👏👏👏
CZ Team also asked him a little question 👀
“Are you worried that AI will replace IT jobs?”
His answer?
“AI is actually SUPER useful!”
It helps speed up work massively
What used to take ages to build, now gets done much faster
💡 Such an interesting perspective
AI isn’t something to fear, it’s a powerful tool… if you know how to use it 😉
