Have you noticed an influx of new random accounts viewing your Stories on Instagram? I hate to burst your bubble, but most of these views are inauthentic. This SEJ article has the goss on what’s happening and what Instagram is going to do about it.

Instagram is reportedly working on a solution for the wave of inauthentic story views that has spread throughout the network.

Remember the fight scene at the end of Mean Girls? Where everyone had had enough of the rumours and backstabbing and all that pent-up aggression exploded in an all-out brawl, all over the school?

Well, the world of tech is a nerdier, more covert version of that. 😅

With all of the corporate espionage and outright idea-pinching that goes on, it’s no wonder that the movers and shakers in the tech industry throw enough shade at one another to block out the sun. 🌚

Social media is no exception.

BLIND ITEM 👀
Which social media giant (hint: the OG of ephemeral content) is ready to spill the tea on their colossal rival (hint: the Winklevoss twins have major beef with the founder)?

For simplicity’s sake, let’s call them Gretchen and Regina, respectively.

Gretchen alleges that Regina attempts to not only suppress but totally squash all other social channels. Which isn’t an unreasonable assertion, considering Regina has heavily borrowed (*cough totally pinched *cough*) Gretchen's concept of ephemeral content.

Gretchen has straight up had it with Regina's standover tactics. So much so, Gretchen created an internal dossier, aptly titled "Project Voldemort”, to outline every grievance with Regina.

Talk about a Burn Book! 🔥
